Opportunities:
While there are no specific weekenders or workshops associated with this training, we are teaming up with regional organizers to try and secure teaching opportunities for everyone who attends. You’ll also get an hour of private remote coaching with Fen to go over the class of your choice.
Applying:
Fen is a fusion and Blues specialist, but other movement modalities are welcome! You do not need to have taught partner dance before, but you should have experience teaching something, even if it’s only informally.
Applications will be a mix of first-come-first-served and deliberate cohort building.
Applications received by 07/25 will be prioritized.
From past trainees:
"Fen's teacher training program was meticulous. There was a purpose to every moment and the attention to detail in each exercise was immediately apparent. Fen masterfully taught the material in ways that reinforced each trainees' teaching style; a feat all the more impressive considering the wealth of dance backgrounds that attended. Fen's training was a integral to my lesson plan that I developed for the weekend event. The one on one training took apart my drafts in the best possible way to prepare the best version of what I wanted to teach. I consider my time with the program a huge success and would welcome anyone else to jump on the opportunity if it is offered again."
"Fen’s teacher training was the perfect introduction to teaching dance. Their focus on values and creativity helped all of us find avenues for expressing what we care about in our classes. They also did an amazing job of equipping us with adaptable tools we will be able to take with us anywhere we go. And it was so much fun!"
"One of the most accommodating instructors I've had the pleasure of learning from. Fen created a welcoming space for us to explore our own conceptions surrounding dance instruction. At the end of it all we were much more aware of what teaching dance means to every one of us."
